The Ministry of Housing, Land, and Urban Development has officially launched the Strata Portal, a user-friendly platform designed to simplify processes related to strata property ownership.
In real estate, strata ownership involves individuals owning a unit or part of a building with shared ownership of common areas among multiple owners.
The launch ceremony, led by former Housing Minister Ibrahim Rafeeq, saw the presence of key figures, including the current Minister of Housing, Land, and Urban Development, Dr. Ali Haidar, and other ministry officials.
Minister Haidar highlighted the portal’s introduction as part of the administration’s ‘Fourteen Weeks’ targets, aiming to streamline registration processes for the public, property owners, real estate professionals, architects, and legal practitioners.
He emphasized the portal’s role in improving government oversight of strata buildings and their management corporations, enhancing efficiency in development, registration, and management within the real estate industry.
Looking ahead, Minister Haidar shared plans to expand the portal’s features, envisioning a comprehensive register of all strata properties nationwide. Additionally, the portal will evolve to handle applications for permits and services in the field.
The Strata Portal launch reflects the government’s commitment to modernize and regulate the strata property landscape, providing an accessible platform for stakeholders across the real estate spectrum.
