The tenth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, held from January 10 to 12, 2024, emerged as a remarkable gathering in the global business landscape. With the theme ‘Gateway to the Future,’ the summit witnessed active participation from more than 28 countries and 14 organizations.
A diverse mix of international partners from countries such as Australia, Bangladesh, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Malaysia, Malta, Morocco, Mozambique, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Republic of Korea, Rwanda, Singapore, Tanzania, Thailand, the UAE, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Ghana, and Vietnam contributed to the summit’s global stature.
Beyond countries, prominent organizations like the American Chamber of Commerce in India (AMCHAM India), EPIC India-University of Chicago, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Indo-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, International Solar Alliance, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Korea Trade and Investment Agency were active participants, emphasizing the summit’s role in fostering international trade and investment.
The summit, spanning two decades of progressive evolution, showcased Gujarat’s developmental journey and aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant and developed India by 2047 – Viksit Bharat@2047. Recognizing the crucial role of partner countries and organizations, the Gujarat government appreciated their contributions to bilateral relations and the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
VGGS 2024 emerged as a significant platform for business networking, knowledge exchange, and fostering strategic partnerships for inclusive and sustainable growth. The summit focused on attracting investments in emerging sectors like semiconductors, green hydrogen, e-mobility, renewable energy, and FinTech.
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show 2024, spanning over 200,000 square meters, became one of the world’s largest trade shows. With a focus on ‘TECHADE and Disruptive Technologies,’ it highlighted the Champion Services Sector, encompassing initiatives like Digital India, India Stack, and emerging technologies such as Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, AI/ML, and applications in various service sectors.
Thematic seminars on Food Security, Advanced Technology, Startups & Innovation, Healthcare, Life Science, and Sustainability enriched the summit’s discussions. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 marks a new era of business opportunities and strategic growth, not only for Gujarat but also for India, representing a crucial milestone in the state and country’s journey towards global leadership across various sectors.
