The well-known Maldivian lifestyle boutique, ‘Oevaali Art Shop,’ has opened its doors in Singapore, situated in the vibrant Arab Street.
The establishment of a branch in Singapore is a notable accomplishment for the Maldivian business scene. Founded by sisters Raya Mansoor and Raniya Mansoor, the boutique received the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Maldives Business Awards 2019.
Expressing gratitude through social media, the boutique thanked customers, friends, family, long-term clients, and Arab Street neighbors for the overwhelming support on the opening day. The boutique is excited about the prospects ahead in the distinctive ambiance of Arab Street.
Arab Street, known for its retail outlets and dining establishments influenced by Muslim culture, is complemented by attractions such as the Malay Heritage Center and Sultan Mosque.
Established in 2015, Oevaali Art Shop is owned and managed by sisters Raya and Raniya in collaboration with partners Ali Ajikko and Imma Rasheed. Focused on 100% Maldivian art and design, the boutique is a cherished lifestyle brand inspired by the ocean and seaside.
Originally starting as an online store in 2015, Oevaali Art Shop opened its first physical location in Male in September 2018. Six years later, on October 9, 2021, it relocated to a new space crafted by Maldivian architects, reflecting the brand’s love for natural textures and contemporary minimalism.
Their diverse product range includes jewelry, accessories, travel essentials, stationery, decor candles, room sprays, and beach accessories like sarongs and pouches. Additionally, they offer art services for interior design, weddings, and events.
