President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed took part in the special program “Baajjaveri Hendhuneh” this morning to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu, the national radio station of the Maldives.
During the program, President Dr. Muizzu expressed gratitude for the invaluable services provided to the nation by Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu over the past 61 years. He also assured the government’s support and commitment to the modernization and development of Dhivehi Raajjeyge Adu.
The President discussed the country’s progress and provided updates on various government initiatives. In response to listener queries, he mentioned the expedited construction of the Thilamalé Bridge under the Greater Malé Connectivity Project (GMCP), connecting Malé, Villimalé, Gulhifalhu, and Thilafushi. The President emphasized the government’s dedication to improving nationwide connectivity, outlining ongoing efforts to develop high-speed ferry services through the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) and projecting its completion within the next two years.
Additionally, President Muizzu reiterated his commitment to ensuring equitable housing for all citizens, assuring that nationwide housing needs would be comprehensively addressed and fulfilled by the end of his term.
The President and the First Lady also shared personal insights and engaged in friendly interactions with acquaintances and members of the public participating in the radio program.
