President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was honored with the prestigious “Bodu Rasgefaanu title” by the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) at the MNACI Builder Awards 2023 ceremony held at Hotel Jen last night. This marks the first time the title has been bestowed.
The recognition was a testament to President Muizzu’s significant contributions to the construction industry in the Maldives. MNACI highlighted his notable achievements during his tenures as the Housing Minister and the Mayor of Malé City. Throughout his term, President Muizzu played a pivotal role in advancing the building sectors in the Maldives.
Under his supervision, the construction of iconic structures took place, including the 25-story building for IGMH and the noteworthy Hiyaa project. Notably, the historic China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, the first bridge in the Maldives, was successfully completed under President Dr. Muizzu’s leadership. MNACI applauded his dedication and impact on the development of the Maldives’ architectural landscape.
